Vinyl Moon Volume 068: Our Glassy Eyes

Listening notes

Vinyl Moon Volume 068: Our Glassy Eyes is a 2021 various artists compilation released on the Vinyl Moon label. Catalogued as Volume 068 within the label's ongoing subscription series, the release sits within the electronic, indie pop, and pop genres.

The record is sequenced across two sides, each containing five tracks. The A-side opens with "Blossoms" and continues through "Off-Peak," "Velvia," "Wide Awake," and "Guitar + Peaches (Demo)," the inclusion of the demo designation on that final A-side track being a point of note. The B-side opens with "Journey (Edited Version)," another track identified by a parenthetical qualifier, followed by "Hourglass," "Violet," "Tru," and "Ferrovia." The presence of both a demo and an edited version among the ten tracks suggests the compilation does not limit itself strictly to standard album releases or finished commercial recordings.

Vinyl Moon operates as a curated subscription service delivering vinyl compilations on a recurring basis, and Volume 068 represents one installment within that broader catalog. The title Our Glassy Eyes is applied to this specific volume, consistent with the label's practice of assigning individual titles to entries in the series alongside their numbered designation.
