Lambda
New York (Vinyl 2)

Listening notes

Lambda's "New York (Vinyl 2)" is a 1999 release on the French label La Maison Grande, catalogued under mais 0020-6. The record sits within the electronic, techno, and trance genres, and arrives as the second vinyl installment in what the catalog numbering suggests is a multi-part single series built around the track "New York."

The A-side carries the Future Breeze Remix, running at six minutes and forty-nine seconds. Future Breeze was a German production duo active during the late 1990s trance scene, and their name appearing here places this release within the broader network of European electronic music that characterized the period. The B-side presents the Mel 'O Ween Remix, for which no duration is listed in the available documentation.

The label, La Maison Grande, is a French imprint, and its involvement points to the cross-border circulation of trance and electronic music across European markets that was common in 1999. The catalog number structure, with mais 0020-6 following a presumably earlier Vinyl 1 release, reflects the standard industry practice of issuing separate vinyl packages containing different remixes for a single source track, allowing DJs and collectors to acquire the versions most relevant to their needs.

Beyond what the label, catalog number, format, genre classifications, tracklist, and one confirmed duration establish, the documentation on hand does not support further claims about this release. Personnel beyond the remix credits, pressing details, and the broader commercial or artistic context of Lambda as an artist remain outside the scope of what can be verified here.
