Serato Official Control Vinyl

Listening notes

Released in 2018 on Serato Pressings, the Serato Official Control Vinyl is a functional tool rather than a conventional music release. Catalogued under the genres Non-Music and Technical, the record exists to serve a specific operational purpose within digital DJing workflows rather than to deliver musical content in any traditional sense.

The release carries no catalog number, a detail that reflects its utilitarian standing outside the usual conventions of commercial record production. Both sides of the record contain the same program: a track titled Serato Control Tone Cv2.5, with the A-side running ten minutes and the B-side extending to fifteen minutes. The tracklist data as submitted lists two discs with identical side designations and durations, suggesting this release is presented as a two-record set, though that detail warrants confirmation by a fact checker before publication.

The version designation Cv2.5 appearing in the track title indicates this is a specific iteration of Serato's control tone format, distinguishing it from earlier versions within the Serato control vinyl lineage. Beyond what the title and version number communicate directly, the available facts do not support claims about the tone's technical specifications, its compatibility parameters, or how it compares to predecessor versions.

Because the record is issued under the artist designation No Artist, it sits outside conventional attribution structures, consistent with its classification as a technical product rather than an artistic one. The Serato Pressings imprint exists specifically to manufacture and distribute this type of release.

This draft is based solely on submitted catalog data. Claims regarding sound, pressing, usage context, and reception have been deliberately omitted pending editorial review and source verification.
