Eskei83: Serato Crispy Crust (Serato Control Vinyl, Colored Vinyl) Vinyl 2LP+Slipmats

Listening notes

Released in 2015 on Serato Pressings, the Eskei83: Serato Crispy Crust package is a two-LP set issued in colored vinyl and accompanied by slipmats. It is catalogued under the Non-Music genre, a classification that reflects the hybrid nature of Serato control vinyl releases, which combine functional timecode content with additional musical programming.

The set's structure is straightforward. Sides A and C carry music tracks, while Sides B and D each contain a ten-minute Serato Control Tone. Side A opens with Wax Wreckaz's "Heavyweight Sound," featuring Dynamite MC and Singer Blue, followed by Eskei83's "Fire," featuring Bunji Garlin, and then "Rave," a collaboration between Eskei83 and Drunken Masters featuring Gunjah. Side C presents three further tracks: "All Day" by Drunken Masters and Tropkillaz, "Love You More" in a Rafik remix of Ben Esser's original, and "Burning" by Donkong.

As a Serato control vinyl release, the package serves a practical purpose for DJs using Serato software, with the timecode tones on Sides B and D enabling turntable control of digital audio. The musical content on the remaining sides positions this release as a curated companion to that functionality rather than a standalone listening record, gathering a range of artists associated with the DJ and production community around Eskei83.

No catalog number is assigned to this release in the available documentation. Durations for the music tracks are not listed, though the control tone sides are each confirmed at ten minutes.
