Engel (2)
Liedjes op vinyl

Listening notes

Engel (2) released *Liedjes op vinyl* on vinyl in 2025 through the artist's own Engelland imprint, sharing its name with the catalog number. The record is catalogued under the genres of Conscious and Hip Hop, situating it within a tradition of Dutch-language rap that foregrounds lyricism and thematic weight, though the specific content of the lyrics here can only be inferred from the titles themselves.

The record is a single LP, with seven tracks on each side. The A-side opens with "Brie & Wijn" and moves through "Onderweg," which features 't Gilde, a collaborator who appears on the record several times. "Vluchten" brings in Miga, while "Regen v" returns to 't Gilde. "Precies te laat" marks a notable pairing, listing Just and Paul de Munnik among its featured artists. The side closes with a two-part sequence: an interlude titled "Twijfels" followed immediately by a full version of "Twijfels," the latter featuring Just, Donnie Adams, and Surya.

The B-side sustains a similarly collaborative character. Just and Surya appear together on "Halfvol," "Alles," and the closing stretch of the side. "Krabben in een emmer," "Wie maakt me los," and "Op het perron" are unaccompanied solo entries. The penultimate track, "Ondergrondse vaklieden," is the most densely populated on the record, crediting Surya, Pep, Kiddo Cee, MC DRT, Just, and Blits as featured artists. The album closes with "In de verte," again featuring 't Gilde.

No track durations are documented in the available data. The release was issued on the Engelland label, and no additional pressing information is currently on record. This entry should be verified against primary sources before publication.
