Einherjer
Dragons Of The North

Listening notes

Einherjer's Dragons of the North appears here as a 2021 vinyl release on Napalm Records, cataloged under NPR023VINYL. The album is classified under the genres of Rock and Viking Metal, placing it within a broader tradition of Scandinavian heavy music that draws on Norse mythology and imagery for its thematic foundation.

The record is pressed as a standard LP, with eight tracks spread across two sides. Side A opens with the title track, "Dragons of the North," followed by "Dreamstorm," "Forever Empire," and "Conquerer." Side B carries "Fimbul Winter," "Storms of the Elder," "Slaget Ved Hafrsfjord," and closes with "Ballad of the Swords." Track durations are not documented in the available data.

The tracklist itself signals a sustained engagement with Norse subject matter. "Fimbul Winter" references the prolonged winter of Norse eschatology that precedes Ragnarök, while "Slaget Ved Hafrsfjord" takes its name from the historical Battle of Hafrsfjord, a ninth-century naval engagement significant in the unification of Norway. "Ballad of the Swords" and "Storms of the Elder" continue in a similar thematic register, and the title track establishes that orientation from the outset.

Napalm Records, the issuing label, is an Austrian independent known for releasing music across metal subgenres, and this catalog entry fits within their documented output for the period.

No additional verified information is available in the source data regarding personnel, recording details, pressing specifications, or variant editions. Prospective collectors and researchers should consult supplementary documentation to fill those gaps before treating this entry as complete.
