Mayhem
De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas Alive

Listening notes

Mayhem's *De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas Alive* arrived in 2017 as a self-released vinyl effort, issued under the catalog number MOR 001 on what is designated simply as Not On Label. The release carries genres of Black Metal and Rock, and its format is vinyl.

The tracklist spans eight selections spread across four sides, suggesting a double-LP configuration. Side A opens with "Intro - Funeral Fog" at position A1, followed by "Freezing Moon" at A2. Side B continues with "Cursed In Eternity" at B3 and "Pagan Fears" at B4. Side C presents "Life Eternal" at C5 and "From The Dark Past" at C6, while Side D closes the record with "Buried By Time And Dust" at D7 and the title-adjacent track "De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas" at D8. No track durations are listed in the available data.

The sequencing of eight tracks across four sides, with two tracks per side, points to a measured and deliberate layout. The titles themselves correspond to material associated with the band's catalog, and the live designation in the release title indicates this is a concert document rather than a studio recording, though the specific performance captured here is not confirmed by the data at hand.

The self-released nature of the pressing, indicated by the Not On Label credit and the band's own MOR 001 catalog designation, suggests direct-to-audience distribution outside of a conventional label arrangement. Whether this was a limited or open edition, and what pressing specifications accompanied it, falls outside what the verified facts can confirm.
