Wickedsquad
Wicked Vinyl 03

Listening notes

Wickedsquad's Wicked Vinyl 03 was released on Buccaneer Records in 2006. The release is a vinyl format release carrying no catalog number, and presents two tracks: "Hut Den Hut" on the A-side and "Hypnotic" on the AA-side.

The release sits across a range of genres as documented — Drum n Bass, Electronic, Happy Hardcore, and Jungle — reflecting the kind of cross-genre positioning that was characteristic of independent vinyl releases operating at the edges of the UK and European underground dance scenes during the mid-2000s. Whether those genre tags represent distinct stylistic sections of the record or a broader classification applied to the release as a whole is not something the available documentation makes clear.

The absence of a catalog number is worth noting for anyone attempting to log or identify this release, as it places Wicked Vinyl 03 outside the standard cataloging conventions used by most labels at the time. Collectors and archivists working with Buccaneer Records releases should account for this when cross-referencing databases.

The title itself — Wicked Vinyl 03 — suggests this was part of a numbered series from Wickedsquad, with the 03 designation implying at least two prior installments under the same imprint. Whether those earlier volumes share the same label, format, or genre scope is not confirmed by the information available here and should be verified independently before publication.

No duration information is documented for either track. Fact-checker should verify: spelling of artist name, label name, and track titles; confirm the absence of a catalog number in original pressings; verify whether earlier volumes in the Wicked Vinyl series exist and under what details; and confirm the 2006 release year against physical copies or contemporaneous documentation where possible.
