Various
Expanding Records - Vinyl Box

Listening notes

Released in 2021 on Expanding Records, the Vinyl Box (catalog number evb01:16) is a various artists compilation spanning seventeen tracks across multiple LPs. The release sits at the intersection of abstract, ambient, electronic, and IDM genres, a combination that suggests a label with a particular curatorial focus rather than a broadly commercial one.

The tracklist itself offers some points of interest. Titles such as "When I Was A Child I Wanted To Be An Astronaut," "Dreaming In Pairs," and "Butterfly Wings Make" carry a reflective, even whimsical quality, while others — "Resist," "Special Measures," and "Polytuft-Tech" — suggest something more angular or purposeful. Whether these impressions hold once the needle drops is a matter for the listener; no track durations are documented here, so the overall runtime of the set remains unconfirmed.

At seventeen positions spread across what the catalog designation implies is a multi-disc vinyl format, this is a substantive release by any measure. The label name, Expanding Records, appears to align with the genre territory the compilation occupies, though no additional information about the label's history or roster is available to verify that reading.

For collectors and researchers, the catalog number evb01:16 is the reliable anchor point here. Personnel, pressing details, and attribution for individual tracks are not documented in the available data and should be confirmed through primary sources before any further information is published. This draft reflects only what can be verified and is submitted for human review accordingly.
