SP Records Vinyl Set №2

Listening notes

SP Records Vinyl Set №2, released in 2016 under catalog number SP SET 05 on SP Records (5), is a multi-disc vinyl package gathering five separate releases under a single set designation. The genres listed across the collection span disco, electro, electronic, Hi NRG, Italo-disco, new beat, and synth-pop, suggesting a deliberate effort to gather material from across the broader landscape of European electronic dance music.

The set comprises five distinct records. Mike Mareen's LP Dance Control contributes nine tracks across two sides, with individual durations ranging from 3:41 for "Midnight Runners" to 6:47 for "Cecilia (Remix)." The Crosslines appear with In The Heaven Of The Night, a six-track release featuring versions labeled as remix, SP Records, LP, and mix variants, including a "TDHDriver Mix" of "Tired Of Waiting." Actiny's Europe Is In Danger is notable for its explicitly political track titles, with credits referencing figures including Putin, Poroshenko, Obama, Merkel, Ban Ki Moon, and Bashar Assad, and subtitles addressing the Donbass conflict, Crimea, Syria, and counterterrorism themes. Its longest track, "Middle East (Anthem Of Military Pilots - Death To The Terrorists Mix)," runs 8:17. Birizdo I Am contributes the Maybe Baby EP, which includes Hungarian-language track "Te Vagy A Tuz, A Feny (Extended Version)." The fifth release, Beach Club Italo Disco Vol.1, is credited to Various and contains six extended-format tracks, the longest being "Don't Play Games (Extended Disco Mix)" at 9:03.

The total track count across all five records is thirty-two. The set was issued in standard vinyl format. No additional verified information regarding personnel, pressing details, or distribution is available from the supplied facts.
