Sonic Adventure 2 (Official Soundtrack Vinyl Edition)

Listening notes

Released in 2017 through Brave Wave (catalog number BW-SGA002), this vinyl edition of the Sonic Adventure 2 official soundtrack spreads its twenty-three tracks across four sides of wax. The release carries the "All Media" format designation alongside its vinyl configuration, and Brave Wave — a label with a documented focus on video game music releases — serves as the issuing party.

The tracklist covers a cross-section of the original game's music, with Discogs genre tags spanning hip hop, pop rock, rock, and soundtrack categories, reflecting the stylistic range present across the selections. Character-specific theme songs appear throughout: "It Doesn't Matter" is identified as the theme of Sonic, "Unknown From M.E." as the theme of Knuckles, "Believe In Myself" as the theme of Tails, "Throw It All Away" as the theme of Shadow, "Fly In The Freedom" as the theme of Rouge, and "E.G.G.M.A.N." as the theme of Dr. Eggman. Stage-linked pieces fill out the remaining positions, with titles tied explicitly to individual in-game locations — City Escape, Pumpkin Hill, Aquatic Mine, Radical Highway, White Jungle, and others among them.

The main theme, "Live & Learn," occupies the closing position on side A, while "SA2 …Main Riff For Sonic Adventure 2" opens the record at A1. Side C concludes with "Supporting Me …For Biolizard," and side D closes on "Soarin' Over The Space …For Cosmic Wall," giving the four-sided set a structured narrative arc that broadly follows the game's character and stage organization.
