Summoning
With Doom We Come

Listening notes

Summoning's With Doom We Come was released in 2018 on Napalm Records as a vinyl edition carrying catalog number NPR 767 VINYL. The Austrian black metal act's album appears in this format spread across four sides, cataloged under a range of genre designations that include black metal, folk metal, symphonic metal, and rock.

The tracklist distributes eight songs across the double-LP layout. Side A opens with "Tar-Calion" and continues with "Silvertine." Side B carries "Carcharoth" followed by "Herumor." The third side, C, presents "Barrow-downs" and "Night Fell Behind," while the fourth side, D, closes the record with "Mirklands" and "With Doom I Come." Several of the track titles — "Carcharoth," "Herumor," "Barrow-downs," and "Silvertine" among them — draw on names and locations recognizable from J.R.R. Tolkien's legendarium, consistent with thematic territory the band has engaged with across their catalog. "Tar-Calion" similarly corresponds to a name from Tolkien's writings.

The four-sided configuration is a practical consequence of the album's runtime, though no individual track durations are available in the verified data to confirm precise timings. The release was handled by Napalm Records, a label that has maintained a long working relationship with Summoning.
