Listening notes
Sete Star Sept's Vinyl Collection 2010-2012 was released in 2012 on Fuck Yoga Records (catalog number FY#40) as a CD. The release is catalogued under the genres of grindcore, noise, noisecore, and rock.
As the title indicates, the disc compiles material spanning 2010 to 2012. The tracklist contains 99 listed tracks, along with one unlisted bonus track, making it an unusually dense single-disc compilation by any measure. The vast majority of individual tracks run well under one minute. Track 18, "Become Desperate," clocks in at eleven seconds, while track 22, "Bring About," runs four seconds — matched in brevity only by track 96, "Genius Malignus," also listed at four seconds. Several entries group multiple song titles under a single track position, such as track 75, which consolidates eight titles into forty-four seconds, and track 92, which combines four titles into one minute and twenty-two seconds.
The longest individual track is the bonus, track 99, "Live At KFJC 89.7 FM," at seventeen minutes and fourteen seconds — a duration that stands in stark structural contrast to the rest of the program. Outside of that bonus, track 84, "Motion Sickness," is the longest at one minute and thirty seconds, followed by track 54, "Savage," at one minute and twenty seconds.
Track 91, "Fuck6 / Fuck7," has no duration listed in the available data.
The compilation's sheer track count and the cumulative brevity of its contents are defining structural features of this release that any researcher or cataloguer should note. This is an unreviewed draft; all details should be verified against primary source materials before publication.
