Mauro M.B.S. presents Seven Saturdays
Dirty Vinyl Pusher

Listening notes

Released in 2004 on Addiction Records, "Dirty Vinyl Pusher" is a CD single catalogued under ADICT150CD, credited to Mauro M.B.S. presents Seven Saturdays. The release falls within the electronic and house genres and presents four versions of the title track across a total runtime that spans from the compact to the extended.

The disc opens with the Dirty Radio Edit, clocking in at three minutes and seventeen seconds, a length consistent with versions intended for broadcast or radio-friendly contexts. The remaining three tracks stretch considerably further, suggesting they were conceived with dancefloor or DJ use in mind. The Dirty Vocal Mix runs seven minutes and four seconds, followed by the Vocal Dub Mix at seven minutes and forty-nine seconds, making it the longest cut on the release. The final track, titled the Unreleased Dub, runs five minutes and nineteen seconds. The inclusion of a track described as unreleased in its title is a notable feature of the disc's sequencing, though the specific circumstances behind that designation are not documented here.

The Addiction Records catalog number places this release at entry 150 in a sequence that suggests an established label with a substantial back catalogue by the time this single appeared. The credit structure, presenting Mauro M.B.S. alongside Seven Saturdays as a collaborative or alias-based project, is characteristic of how electronic and house acts have often organized credited work for single releases.

As a CD single dedicated entirely to variations on one track, the release reflects a format common to house music during this period, where extended mixes and dub interpretations were standard components of a physical release intended to serve multiple listening and performance contexts.
