Koizumix Production
88-99 Vinyl Collection

Listening notes

Released in 1998 on Victor Records, *88-99 Vinyl Collection* by Koizumix Production carries the catalog number VIJL-60030. The release spans genres including dub, electronic, house, J-pop, and pop, situating it within the crossover territory that characterized a strand of late-1990s Japanese club and pop production.

The record contains six tracks spread across two sides. Side A opens with "La La La ... (Extended Version)" at six minutes and six seconds, followed by "ドライブ (Gota Re-Mix)" at five minutes and twenty-eight seconds, and closes with "ラブバラ(Love-Ballad) (New Mix)" running five minutes and forty seconds. Side B leads with "No No No (Flipper's + HF Mix)" at three minutes and twenty-seven seconds, the shortest entry on the record. "Simulation (Club Mix)" follows at seven minutes and twenty-one seconds, and the record concludes with "Fade Out (Moody Strings Mix)" at six minutes and forty-three seconds.

The tracklist reflects a format built around remixed and alternate versions rather than original studio recordings presented in their standard form. Credits visible in the track titles point to specific remix contributors — a figure identified as Gota on the Side A remix, and a team or entity identified as Flipper's + HF on the Side B opener — though no further personnel information is available here to expand on those attributions. The total runtime across both sides is substantial, consistent with material formatted for extended playback.

The title's reference to the years 1988 and 1999 may suggest a retrospective or anniversary framing, though the nature of that framing is not confirmed by the available data. Researchers seeking additional context on the Koizumix Production project, the source recordings, or the remix contributors should consult contemporary Japanese music documentation and label materials directly.
