Jackson 5, The
Jackson 5 Remixes 2 (Vinyl 3)

Listening notes

This 2003 release on Soul Source (2) represents the third vinyl installment in the label's Jackson 5 remix series. Issued under the catalog number SO SO 3, the 12-inch presents four tracks across two sides, drawing on the Jackson 5 catalog and presenting it through the lens of genres the label associated with the release: Electronic, Funk / Soul, Future Jazz, and House.

Side A opens with "We're Almost There (DJ Spinna Mix)," followed by "Good Thing Goin'." Side B carries "ABC (Justa Roots Rock Mix)" and closes with "Ain't No Sunshine (SSY Mix)." The presence of DJ Spinna, credited on the A-side remix, is a verifiable personnel detail. The remaining remix credits — Justa Roots Rock Mix and SSY Mix — are identified by name in the tracklist, though no additional verified information about those contributors is available here.

The catalog number SO SO 3 follows the implied sequencing logic of the Soul Source (2) series, placing this record as the third volume. The series title, Jackson 5 Remixes 2 (Vinyl 3), suggests this is itself a sub-series, with at least two preceding vinyl entries under this particular remix series designation.

No duration information is listed for any of the four tracks. Nothing in the available data speaks to pressing quantities, regional distribution, or the circumstances under which these remixes were produced. Prospective fact-checkers should verify personnel credits beyond DJ Spinna, confirm whether earlier volumes in the Soul Source Jackson 5 remix series share the same label imprint, and clarify the relationship between any digital or non-vinyl editions and this vinyl-specific numbering. Any claims about the sound, collectibility, or market history of this release would require sources not present in the verified data above.
