Gregory Isaacs
Dub Versions - Vinyl Cut

Listening notes

Gregory Isaacs — Dub Versions - Vinyl Cut was released by Tad's Record in 2021 as a vinyl format album spanning four sides across what the tracklist structure confirms as a double LP configuration. The release falls under the dub and reggae genres and presents twenty tracks, each identified as dub treatments of songs associated with Isaacs's catalog.

The titles making up the tracklist will be recognizable to listeners familiar with Isaacs's recorded output. Songs listed here in dub form include "Night Nurse," "Soon Forward," "Loving Pauper," and "Stranger In Town," among others. The full twenty-track sequence runs across sides A through D, with five tracks per side. Individual track durations range from three minutes and thirteen seconds for "Once Ago (In Dub)" on side D to five minutes even for "Don't Pity Me (In Dub)," also on side D. Most tracks fall in the four-minute range, giving the album a relatively consistent pacing on paper.

No catalog number is associated with this release in the available documentation. The label, Tad's Record, is a Jamaica-founded imprint with a long history of reggae releases, though no further details about this specific pressing are verifiable from the provided information.

The album's subtitle, Vinyl Cut, indicates the release was intended for or specifically formatted for the vinyl medium, though no additional production or mastering information is available to expand on that designation here.

Fact checker note: No personnel, production credits, pressing origins, or reception data were available for inclusion. The tracklist title "Extra Classic (In Dub" on side C1 appears to have a missing closing parenthesis in the source data and should be verified against physical copy or official documentation before publication.
