Evocation (2)
Vinyl Collection

Listening notes

Released in 2018 on Northeast Steel Industry (catalog number NESV-B001), the Vinyl Collection box set gathers material from Evocation (2) across multiple records in a single physical package. The set spans genres listed as black metal, death metal, and rock, and its tracklist alone signals an unusually broad scope for a single collection.

The box set contains three distinct groupings of material, each spread across its own sides. The first section opens with "1942" and moves through English-language titles including "Final Division," "Take Your Soul," "The Seventh Day," on the A side, continuing with "Inducer," "Episode Of Punishment," "Punishment," "Deerstalker," and "Disaster Inspired" on the B side. The second grouping presents titles entirely in Traditional Chinese, among them 戰．魂．序, 越空復仇, 兵荒馬亂, 黃土, and the title track 天靈靈 地靈靈 across its A side, with 不滅皇朝, 改朝換代, 長生不死, and 神話 filling the B side. The third and most expansive section, 奠, spreads across four sides — A through D — with tracks carrying bilingual titles pairing Chinese characters alongside English renderings such as "Libation," "Karma," "Sky Burial," "Enchant Boundary," "Lone Spirit," "Illusion," "Black Worship," "Imperial Ordinance," "Rotten Cause," "Anniversary Of Death," "Nirvana," and "Impermanence."

The bilingual titling in the third section, and the all-Chinese titling in the second, suggest a release oriented toward a Chinese-speaking audience while remaining accessible across language contexts. Beyond what the tracklist and catalog data confirm, no additional details regarding personnel, pressing specifications, or edition size are available to this draft.
