Daft Punk
TRON: Legacy (Vinyl Edition Motion Picture Soundtrack)

Listening notes

Released in 2022 through Mondo, catalog number MOND-194, this vinyl edition of Daft Punk's TRON: Legacy motion picture soundtrack spreads across a four-sided, double LP configuration with an accompanying all-media component. The release carries the full title TRON: Legacy (Vinyl Edition Motion Picture Soundtrack), distinguishing it from earlier pressings of the same score.

The tracklist is organized across four sides. Sides A and B present the core soundtrack sequence, opening with "Overture" and moving through twenty-one titled cues that follow the film's narrative arc. Titles such as "Recognizer," "Rinzler," "Disc Wars," and "C.L.U." reflect the film's vocabulary, while "Adagio For TRON" and "Nocturne" suggest the score's range of compositional approaches. Side C closes the main program with "Finale."

Side D is designated as bonus content, containing seven additional tracks: "Sea Of Simulation," "Encom Part 2," "Encom Part 1," "Round One," "Castor," "Reflections," and "Sunrise Prelude." The inclusion of this fourth side gives this pressing a more complete track sequence than a standard two-disc configuration would accommodate.

Mondo, an Austin-based company known for limited-edition entertainment merchandise and soundtrack releases, issued this under their label designation Mondo (3). The genres listed for this release span a notably wide range, including Classical, Contemporary, Electronic, House, Neo-Romantic, Soundtrack, and Stage and Screen, a combination that reflects the score's hybrid construction blending orchestral and electronic elements.

No track durations are documented in the available data for this release. Prospective buyers and researchers should verify all remaining details, including pressing specifics, packaging, and availability, through current primary sources.
