Crazy Frog
Axel F (Vinyl 1)

Listening notes

Released in 2005, this 12-inch vinyl single from Crazy Frog presents the track "Axel F" across three versions, issued on Universal Licensing Music (ULM) under catalog number 983 039-3. The release is catalogued under the genres of Electronic and Euro House.

The A-side carries the Club Mix, running at 6 minutes and 22 seconds. The B-side opens with the Club Mix Instrumental, also clocked at 6 minutes and 22 seconds, before closing with the Radio Mix, which comes in at 2 minutes and 50 seconds. The structure is straightforward: a vocal club version, its instrumental counterpart at identical length, and a shorter radio-friendly cut.

This pressing is identified in some databases as "Vinyl 1," a designation that suggests at least one additional vinyl release of the same title may exist within the same campaign, though no further details about variant pressings are addressed here.

The release sits within a broader moment in mid-2000s European pop and dance music, when vinyl singles remained a standard commercial and club format even as digital distribution was expanding. Universal Licensing Music served as the issuing label, placing the release within a major label infrastructure during that period.

Collectors and DJs researching this specific release should note the catalog number 983 039-3 as the key identifying detail, given that multiple formats and configurations of Crazy Frog material were released around this time. The three-track configuration here, with its emphasis on extended club-length versions, reflects the conventions of dance-oriented vinyl releases of the era.
