Carcass
Choice Cuts (25th Anniversary) White Vinyl

Listening notes

Earache Records issued this 25th anniversary pressing of Carcass's Choice Cuts compilation in 2023 on white vinyl under catalog number MOSH220LP. The release spans four sides across two records, catalogued under the genres of death metal, grindcore, and rock.

The main program runs across sides A and B, collecting thirteen tracks. Side A opens with "Genital Grinder" and moves through "Maggot Colony," "Exhume To Consume," "Swarming Vulgar Mass Of Infected Virulency," "Tools Of The Trade," "Corporal Jigsore Quandary," and "Incarnated Solvent Abuse." Side B carries the sequence forward with "Buried Dreams," "No Love Lost," "Heartwork," "Keep On Rotting In The Free World," "R**k The Vote," and "This Is Your Life."

Sides C and D are given over to bonus material in the form of two John Peel Sessions. The session recorded on 02.01.89 appears on side C, comprising "Crepitating Bowel Erosion," "Slash Dementia," "Cadaveric Incubator Of Endoparasites," and "Reek Of Putrefaction." Side D presents the session from 16.12.90, containing "Empathological Necroticism," "Foeticide," "Fermenting Innards," and a second appearance of "Exhume To Consume." The inclusion of two dated Peel Sessions gives this pressing a documentary dimension absent from standard compilations, offering a concrete point of difference for collectors interested in the band's documented BBC recordings alongside the compiled studio selections.

Track durations are not listed on this release's documentation.
