Amiri
Vinyl Ritchie

Listening notes

Vinyl Ritchie is a hip-hop release from Amiri, issued in 2012 through HiPNOTT Records under catalog number HNR-015. The release appeared in CDr format and carries the hip-hop genre designation.

The project spans eighteen tracks with a total running time that lands just under the one-hour mark. The sequencing moves from shorter pieces — the opening "The Pro's" clocks in at two minutes and twenty-two seconds, and "Star" at track four runs just one minute and twenty seconds — to more developed cuts in the second half of the sequence. The longest track, "I Give Thanks" at position fifteen, runs four minutes and nine seconds. Several titles carry a self-referential or aspirational quality, among them "Introducing," "A Dreamer," "Time To Shine," and "Almost," though any interpretation of those titles beyond their text is outside what the available documentation supports. An interlude appears at position six, and the release closes with a brief "Goodbye" at one minute and five seconds before appending a remix of the earlier track "It's That Real" as the final listing.

HiPNOTT Records, the label behind this release, operated as an independent hip-hop imprint. The CDr format places Vinyl Ritchie within a mode of physical distribution associated with independent and self-released projects during the period, though specific details about distribution, pressing quantities, or availability are not confirmed by the information on hand.

Researchers and cataloguers should note that personnel, production credits, recording circumstances, and any subsequent release variants are not documented in the verified data and should be sourced independently before publication.
