Agonist, The
The Early Years Vinyl Box Set

Listening notes

Released in 2022 on Rockmark Records (catalog number RMLP026-028BOX), The Early Years Vinyl Box Set compiles material from The Agonist across three vinyl records, spanning thirty-three tracks in total. The set is catalogued under the genres of metalcore and rock.

The first record opens with "Synopsis" and moves through ten further tracks, including "Rise And Fall," "Born Dead, Buried Alive," "Trophy Kill," and "Business Suits And Combat Boots," before closing with "Forget Tomorrow." The second record picks up at track twelve with the extended title "The Tempest (The Siren's Song; The Banshee's Cry)" and continues through eleven more selections, among them "Thank You Pain," "Birds Elope With The Sun," and a notably titled entry, "Swan Lake (A Cappella)," concluding with "Chlorpromazine." The third and final record carries eleven tracks of its own, beginning with "You're Coming With Me" and ending on "Revenge Of The Dadaists," with titles such as "Anxious Darwinians," "Panophobia," and "Everybody Wants You (Dead)" distributed across its sides. Track durations are not documented in the available data.

The box set format, encompassing three discrete vinyl records under a single catalog number, positions this release as a retrospective survey of the band's earlier output, though the specific albums or time period the title's phrase "early years" refers to cannot be confirmed from the information available. Collectors and researchers consulting this entry should note that personnel, pressing details, and any supplementary packaging contents remain unverified at this time.
