William Michael Morgan
Vinyl

Listening notes

William Michael Morgan's debut album, *Vinyl*, was released in 2016 on Warner Music Nashville under catalog number 557289. Documented under the genres of Country and Folk, World, & Country, the album arrived on CD and carries eleven tracks with a combined runtime that falls just under forty minutes.

The tracklist opens with "People Like Me" at three minutes and forty-seven seconds, followed by the title track "Vinyl" at three minutes and nineteen seconds. "Missing" comes in third at three minutes and forty-six seconds, and "I Met A Girl" follows at three minutes and twenty-two seconds. "Spend It All On You" runs three minutes and thirty-six seconds, and "Beer Drinker" is the most compact entry on the front half at three minutes and three seconds. "I Know Who He Is" at three minutes and forty-five seconds and "Cheap Cologne" at three minutes and twenty-eight seconds occupy positions seven and eight. The final three tracks — "Somethin' To Drink About" at three minutes and eight seconds, "Lonesomeville" at three minutes and sixteen seconds, and "Back Seat Driver" at three minutes and fifty-eight seconds — close out the record, with "Back Seat Driver" standing as the album's longest individual cut.

The track lengths throughout are notably consistent, with the majority falling between three minutes and three minutes and fifty-eight seconds. No single track extends beyond four minutes, and only "Beer Drinker" and "Somethin' To Drink About" fall beneath three minutes and ten seconds. The title's self-referential nod to an analog format is worth noting given that the documented release is a CD pressing rather than a vinyl edition.

*Vinyl* was issued through Warner Music Nashville, one of the major labels operating within the Nashville country music industry at the time of release.
