Schatrax
Vintage Vinyl 001

Listening notes

Schatrax's Vintage Vinyl 001, released in 2018 on the artist's own Schatrax label, carries the catalog number SCHAT VV01. The release is a vinyl record sitting within the electronic and house genres, and its title suggests a deliberate positioning within a self-curated series, though whether subsequent volumes followed is not confirmed here.

The record presents three tracks across its two sides. The A-side holds a single track, "First Heartbeat," while the B-side carries two: "I Hold You Precious" and "Overcome." No duration information is available for any of the three tracks. The titles themselves carry an emotional, almost intimate register that stands apart from the more functional or abstract naming conventions common across much electronic and house music, though what that means in practice for the music itself falls outside what can be responsibly stated here.

The decision to release under a self-titled imprint places Schatrax among artists who maintain direct control over their output, a choice that carries its own implications for distribution and reach, though the specifics of how this release was handled are not known from the available information.

The catalog number follows a naming structure — SCHAT VV01 — that reinforces the series framing suggested by the title, with VV likely corresponding to Vintage Vinyl and 01 indicating a first entry. Beyond this structural observation, the facts on hand do not support further conclusions about the release's context, personnel, or place within the broader Schatrax discography.
