12 Internet Radio Shows You Should Listen To
INTERNET RADIO SHOWS ARE STILL ONE OF THE BEST WAYS TO DISCOVER NEW MUSIC. PERIOD.
Apple Music, Spotify, Youtube, etc. Forget about fancy music suggesting algorithms. For all the technological advances in how and where we consume and discover new music, music is still way more fun and interesting when there's a real human playing it for you. Even if that means listening to a real person over the Internet. Chats, human music selectors aka DJs playing DJ sets, occasional interviews with DJs and live performances, these are some of the ingredients that make internet radio shows so special. Because it's more than just playing music. It's all about radio shows with hosts that know how to put music in context, so here are some of the best online radio shows we could all do with spending more time on.
9PM – 11PM WET / RINSE.FM
The trio at the fore of Hessle Audio, Ben UFO, Pearson Sound and Pangaea, have consistently been breaking boundaries since 2007 joining the dots between dubstep, funky, grime, UK garage and a wider array of house and techno. Co-label heads Ben UFO and David Kennedy aka Pearson Sound are the hosts of the always excellent Hessle Audio Show on Rinse FM, where they tend to take a more adventurous approach and play music they're not necessarily playing in their DJ sets. Each show is pretty much special on its own, and you can pretty much expect to never get bored of the music Ben and David play.

Beats In Space is a legendary radio show mixed live by Tim Sweeney and Guests in New York City. Tim Sweeney achieved the status of a legend around the World not because of his productions or his record label nor for his DJ sets, but mainly due to this Radio show. He's been running Beats In Space for over 12 years from its base in NYC and everyone from DJ Harvey to Voices From The Lake has already visited the show. The first half of the show usually features a nice chat with, and a mix from a guest DJ, whilst the second half is an hour of Sweeney’s own selections.
