The Best Stereo Speakers Of 2022

Soundbars and powered amps are great, but if you want the best sound, you’ll need an AV receiver or a pair of passive speakers powered by an amp. No matter the budget, there are speakers ranging from the amazing $65 Dayton Audio B652-AIR to the $999 Bowers and Wilkins 606 S2 Anniversary. If you’re listening to music, just add the following pair: But each combination works well as part of a surround sound system on movie night.

Debut Elac 2.0 B6.5

For a typical price of $400, these headphones are still the best value for money, but if you find them on sale, the value is truly amazing. Going from $65 Dayton Audio (see below) to Elacs is a whole new football pitch listener. This little voice speaker could challenge the best on this list. The proverbial best explosion ever.

Dayton Audio B652-AIR

Whether you’re looking to decorate your workspace or the kids’ room, the Dayton Audio B652-AIR offers decent performance for the price of a meal for two. It doesn’t even look cheap, with an amazing folded metal tweeter on top. Of course, you can always do better, but if you’re on a tight budget, this should be your choice.

Monolith on Monoprice Encore B6

Monoprice has been making audio products throughout its existence, but with its spin-off brand, Monolith, the company has shown that it wants to compete with the big companies. The Encore 6 is a great speaker with excellent build quality and beautiful, captivating sound that sits perfectly on vinyl. The only quirk is that it is rated at 4 ohms instead of the industry standard 8 ohms. But for a receiver around $500, that’s not a problem. Retailing for $320, the Encore B6 is the first with Elac to deliver high-quality audio that everyone can achieve.

Acoustic Q 3030i

We love Elac’s debuts, but we need good (read: expensive) speakers to share for the best possible sound quality. If you’re looking for something a bit more balanced, the Q Acoustics 3030i offers nice looks and a satisfying amount of bass. It also works well with budget receivers, making it ideal for audio and video setups.

Creep XL8F

The Fluance XL8F offers excellent value for money for floorstanding speakers. Provides a high sound level and sound quality. If you’re not on a huge budget and have space, this speaker should be at the top of your test list.

Klipsch RP-600M

Klipsch has been making rock speakers before rock music. The Klipsch RP-600M offers performance that’s perfectly suited to AC/DC, but can also handle a piano gig or two. The RP-600M also finds parts with a bold copper-colored screwdriver. CNET’s Audiophiliac has chosen it as their preferred speaker for 2018. The Klipsch will soon be replaced by a new model, further increasing the sale value.

Bowers and Wilkins 606 S2 Memory

With Klipsch, Bowers and Wilkins have been at the forefront of the headphone industry their entire lives. The great thing about the company is that if it invents new technologies, like the silver Continuum motor found in its flagship models, they eventually trickle down to the mainstream. Above all! The 606th anniversary looks amazing, thanks in part to the drivers, and it’s amazing, too.
